Carol Wheeler:Licensed School Counselor, 25 years as a school counselor

Current position: School Counselor at South Burlington, VT School District - A suburban community currently undergoing significant change in socio-economic make up. Having 25% students eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch, and qualifying for Title One. Becoming more diverse: racially, ethnically and culturally.

“After offering our first Parenting On Track™ facilitator series, parents were very appreciative and often stopped me in the hall to make positive comments or to share a story. The option to purchase the license for one year and offer the program as many times as our schedule would support helped us reach many parents in our community and keep the cost low. Also offering the program in a familiar, local location added to the level of comfort and participation from parents. The materials and presentation of the content are excellent. By having it on site, we can also allow parents to take the materials home if necessary.”

Carolyn Tatlock :MS in School Counseling, NBCC (Nationally Certified Counselor), BS Human Development and Family Relations, 6 years as a school counselor.

Current Position: School Counselor at Williston, VT Central School District – Would be great to add a description here about the school that serves students and families in grades pre-k through 4 in a public school setting.

“As someone who is very familiar with The Parenting On Track™ program and has had much success implementing the information in our school, as well as with my own family, I truly appreciated having the opportunity to facilitate the program at Williston Central. The staff-facilitator format allowed parents to become familiar with all of the district counselors and to see us as a knowledgeable resource for their families. Having the DVD material on site helps us effectively share solutions for student behavior with parents and teachers. We received excellent feedback from our last series. Parents are requesting we do it again next year, and teachers have expressed interest in the content for their own classrooms and families.”

Judy Danzig:Master’s in Social Work/ License in School Counseling, 15 yrs as school counselor

Current Position:School Counselor at Addison Northwest Supervisory Union - A rural community that is commuting distance from Burlington. Comprised of professional families, blue collar and farming families.

“The Parenting On Track™ program makes a difference in families lives. It works! The information in the set of multi-media materials is very well presented - it’s clear, well-organized, easy to access, and easy to understand. We used the video to run the classes and the study guide handouts were very useful for discussion. By having this program on site and with continued use in our district (ANWSU), we’ll expose all of our new families to this approach, and the veterans will continue to receive the support they need to continue incorporating this powerful program and solid philosophy into their parenting.”
