What is MomTV?
MomTV is a …well, it’s a community. It’s a place to share videos, audio, photos, stories and more. For Parenting On Track™, it is the home of our live MomTV show, seen weekly on Monday nights at 9:00pm EST.
How Does It Work?
It’s Easy. Become a member (its free) and enjoy the services MomTV provides. Click on the image below or visit www.momtv.com
What is the Parenting On Track™ show about?
Everything having to do with the Parent/Child Relationship.
Each week I will be talking about subjects that are important and relevant to today’s parents. Sometimes I will be sharing a video of a conversation I have with moms who have kids ranging from 9 months to 20 years. We will be tackling tough issues and chatting about daily life with kids. Sometimes I will have guests on the show including experts and regular every day moms.
No matter how we bring you this great content, one thing is certain, you won’t be hearing it or reading about it quite this way. I have a saying, “We are all doing the best we can with the information we have.” If you are looking to deepen the relationship with your kids, give up being the maid or the law enforcement officer or if you know, in your gut, that there is more to this parenting thing than what you are doing -join us.
I can promise you, that we will provide you with new information that just might transform the relationships you have with yourself, your kids and your family.
The truth is, with MomTV, the possibilities are limitless.
Why are you doing this?
Hmmm. I guess because I am not teaching weekly classes any more and I LOVE presenting. More than presenting though, I love talking with moms. I love seeing the “ah ha” moments which happen frequently when we get to talking about kids, dreams, what works and what doesn’t. It is a chance for me to give back to a community of parents who are raising the next generation of leaders.
I am not sharing my opinions, because frankly, who cares what my opinion is. But it is a chance for me to ask tough questions, stimulate robust conversations, tackle sensitive issues, and share over 20 years of experience in the field of parent education.
If you are looking for ways to enhance the relationship with your kids, as well as their growing independence, so that they leave your house at 18 ready to throw open the doors and dive into your life, well then maybe we have what you are looking for.
Check us out – and let us know what you think. We are always interested in hearing from parents.
What will I take away from your show?
I guess that is up too you. I am going to provide a few things.
1. A perspective that might be new and challenging
2. Sound information based on a parenting philosophy that is grounded in over 100 years of research
3. Strategies that focus on relationship building not the latest discipline fad
4. Homework. (Yes Homework, homework is where it all happens. Without homework, it’s just another good idea that sits on the nightstand collecting dust.)
Each week we will post the topic for our show. We hope to create our own community right here for you to watch, participate and comment and ask questions.
See you then!
Vicki
